Tigergruppe

is for parents who can speak German, to meet, to have fun, to support each other and to encourage the children to enjoy and speak German.

We aim to follow the German traditions of Easter, Fasching, St Martin's etc.

The group meets on the first Monday and the third Friday of each month (apart from bank holidays when it is postponed by a week). The Monday meeting is held at Pembury Baptist Church from 10 am to 12 noon. The Friday one is held as a coffee morning at someone's house or at a venue suggested by members, e.g. Tonbridge Park.

On a Monday there's a warm welcome along with toys and coffee. There is an outside play area at the church. During the morning parents have access to a library of German books, CDs, games and videos, which may be borrowed. We like to sing traditional and modern German nursery rhymes and occasionally get crafty.

Cost is £1 per family each time it is held at the Baptist Church.

Tigergruppe would welcome any one who would like to practise their German.
