Vivian Branson shared her knowledge of all things Austen with us in an illustrated talk talk about the connections the family had with Tonbridge. Given how strong these connections are (several family members lived in or near the town at one time or other), it is highly likely Jane Austen herself would have visited Tonbridge at least once. Unfortunately, no hard evidence of any such visit exists.
