In a multiple departure from previous years, the Nikolausabend this year was actually a lunch, held in the Parish Room at St Thomas's Church, Southborough. This turned out to be a very pleasant occasion, both because of the timing and the location.. Pat Nell had pulled out all the stops with the traditional German-style salad food, and ofcourse there was Glühwein and carol singing! Over coffee, we watched a video from our friends in Heusenstamm and created one of our own to send Christmas wishes in return.
